So.. there aren't many sites on this, so i'll have to ask you guys for help.. not that that's a bad thing.
My ideas so far:
1) Golden bedsheets.
Enough said
2) Golden backed trees of gondor.
Basically, measure whatever you want to cover (in this case, my ugly bookshelves.. yuck! , get that much fabric in gold or whatever color, paint a whatever color, but i chose silver, tree of gondor on it, and then - this is the cool part - up in the branches, swirl the fabric so that the branches and leaves swirl.
3) Rocks and Shells
Around various flat surfaces - e.g. , my dresser, my desk, my sink.. etc, - i sprinkled rocks and shells. this is easy. i used some of lyd's rocks and some decorator rocks , some bought shells and some of my shells.
4) Of course, draping the furniture in .. what else? gold fabric.
Ok, this one is obvious. Just drape the ugly but comy furniture in gold fabric.
EASY PEASY!
Thats all for now!
Comment or post your ideas! THANKS!!

Making My Room Elven..

here's my idea.. ready?
i think the gold is a good elven look.. but since your walls are white & your carpet is grey, you want to make sure you don't get kind of a hollywood glam look... SO: what about one of these ideas.
1. a lothlorien painting over your bed. use big boxes, make a single- or double- layer in the size & shape you want above your headboard. I'm talking a major focal point. (cover with fabric & staple for texture, or leave cardboard plain) paint a brown & dark green based image with a few trees in the foreground. use light green & gold for highlights.
2. plush, soft cushions with classy tassels in rich colors (remember the part where arwen was daydreaming & messing with that cushion. yeah.)
3. put an tension curtain rod in the doorway to the bathroom, get sheer green fabric and drape it so that it isn't in your way when you walk, just lining the top & sides of the doorway. use your gold fabric paint to sketch vines or flir-de-lees SP? on the fabric!
4. use cardboard for this one, too. trace a curvy branch shape on a really large cardboard piece. paint it brown, green, or whatever color you choose. cut it out and lean/fasten on your window or a corner of your room. (credit goes to josh for this idea)
uh... more if i think of them.
