Born of HOPE - the story of Arathorn and Gilraen

Born of Hope is a prequel to the fantasy novels and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King.

The 60-minute film, which will be released on the internet next year, focuses on Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people's history.

Filming has already begun in Epping Forest in Essex, with the latest footage showing actors trudging through the woods dressed as sword-wielding Orcs.

Kate Robinson, who is directing the film, said: "Born of Hope is a prequel to the New Line Trilogy and my aim is to make a film that can sit alongside those films without looking too out of place.

"We want to show people more of a back-story for Aragorn. Based on Tolkien's writings in the Appendices of the books we look at Aragorn's people and show the relationship between his parents."


So.. isn't this incredible?
I'm SO excited! Someone needed to do this!

Making My Room Elven..

So.. there aren't many sites on this, so i'll have to ask you guys for help.. not that that's a bad thing.

My ideas so far:

1) Golden bedsheets.
Enough said

2) Golden backed trees of gondor.
Basically, measure whatever you want to cover (in this case, my ugly bookshelves.. yuck! , get that much fabric in gold or whatever color, paint a whatever color, but i chose silver, tree of gondor on it, and then - this is the cool part - up in the branches, swirl the fabric so that the branches and leaves swirl.

3) Rocks and Shells
Around various flat surfaces - e.g. , my dresser, my desk, my sink.. etc, - i sprinkled rocks and shells. this is easy. i used some of lyd's rocks and some decorator rocks , some bought shells and some of my shells.

4) Of course, draping the furniture in .. what else? gold fabric.

Ok, this one is obvious. Just drape the ugly but comy furniture in gold fabric.
EASY PEASY!
